Things I REALLY Have to say!
Oct. 4th, 2007 03:17 amI have been watching a TV show called Blood Ties. It is based on some really excellent books by Tanya Huff, who is actually the only writer I am reading with any ease (I dunno, I have been in these malaise since my dad died. I used to read at least 2 books a week now I am lucky of I read 1 right through.) I am really enjoying the books, they are really easy to read whilst still being vivid and detailed.
I got into the television series first. The characters intrigued me enough to find the books. The books met and to be honest exceeded my expectations, based on the television series. So what is this television series, it's based in Toronto (though like most Canadian series it seems to be shot in Vancouver) it is about a Private Investigator, Vicki Nelson, who through a series of murders stumbles into a world of Vampires, demons and Incubi. Along side her on this rather intriguing sleigh ride of weird She has Henry Fitzroy the bastard son of Henry VIII and also a vampire as a partner. The foil to the Whole scenario is a guy called Mike Celucci, a police detective.
I love this series. If you have access to Living In the UK watch the show; Thursdays 8pm. If you are in the US I believe it is on Lifetime, find out details there. I also suggest checking out the books, because I am really enjoying them, until the last page whereby I end up feeling depressed cause the story is over. I don't get like this over books very often, so I decided to share here (If anyone reads here!) the one thing that makes my life a lot happy.
