Harry Potter 7 - Not Spoilerish at all

I am reading Harry Potter 7 and one line just really jumped out at this point in my life.
"Parent's," said Harry, "Shouldn't leave their kids unless - they've got to."
Oh how I understand Harry's point of view, much as the smart part of me says that sometimes the 'got to' only presents itself to the parent and never to the child, so we can't understand. I can completely understand how Harry longs for his parents. He is saying that his parents should never have 'left' him - even though it was through death, he sees Dumbledore's departure in much the same light and also Sirius's departure as another form of leaving. He feels as though the people who have 'taken care' of him have left for, in a rather childlike way of understanding the events, no really reason at all.
Given the way I feel at the moment and considering the fact that my father died from Lung Cancer after having smoked for at least 40 years and through my entire life, I completely understand and feel similarly to Harry. Even though Harry is wrong, and his extended family 'left' to help him, to protect him and to keep him alive.
