angel_janeOkay there is no way I can be classified as a stranger to the internet, but there is a moment every so often that I just wanna scream and the official trek site has made me do it!
I logged on on Tuesday only to be greated by a half dozen of my chat room buddies and be told that Star Trek.com was closing it's open door chat room. Most of us are pretty angry and a few are lobbying the editor of the website get things changed
For those interested the e-mail address is editor@startrek.com so if you'd like to send an e-mail about it do so!
Apparently the idea is that the chat room will only ever be used for "event chats" with actors, actresses and backstage crew. That leaves a fair amount of us who prefer a more immediate experience in the dark.
We have been somewhat fortunate in finding a new home and the people have been really cool in welcoming us, but all the same, we feel very slighted as a group of fans, if this is how they treat loyal fans, how so they treat people who are occasional fans!
Our new chat room addy is www.startrekfans.net hopefully all works out well!
In other news am still studying for finals and getting there slowly!
