I used to have painful periods. I would spend a week doubled up and in pain. So I went on the implant and it stopped my periods, which was great. No pain, no mess - it win all around.
Last weekend I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia and was give Carbamazepine to treat the nerve pain I was in. You look at the patient info leaflet and you get an interfere with and affect the efficacy of hormonal birth control.
No kidding.
The last couple of days I had cramps, but considering the landscape of pain for me it was nothing to matter - it was an ache and aches are very blah for me - I constantly ache.
Today I bled - and you know something - this is the first time in a long time that I haven't cramped (or if I am I can't tell) and felt like shit - I guess there are bonuses and upsides to this TN.
